| To Honor & Respect with Pride!

Hi There, My name is Morgan. A little while before I entered
life here on planet Earth, I am told that my Mom (& I), with my older sister were obliged to take cover under an iron table that
the British government provided to protect its citizens from the Nazi bombing raids. As the story goes,
some months before, the Hindenburg had passed right over our house very late one night with a spotlight that lit up the night ground like it was noon!
My Dad later told me he had known that this usually means film footage for future bombing raids. I guess he knew what he was
talking about. Anyhow, my family survived the Battle of Britain and as time goes on, my overwhelming gratitude and pride in my
father just keeps growing stronger with every day of my life. What do we do with all these old pictures?
Well... put em' on the web of course!
Last week I remembered a few years back to a time when my Dad and I lived together here in this old house. I recalled the image
of him standing in his bedroom pointing to a picture he had proudly hung on the wall over his bed. A picture of an aircraft...
It was the De havilland Mosquito! He spoke of adventures and the bravery of men who flew this wooden wonder and of how much he
loved it! Today I fly the Mosquito in the sim and I understand! In a way, a circle of time and technology has been connected.
On these pages you will find a tribute to my father and the truly great and wonderful man he was. Not only a brave soldier and
airman but a loving husband and ideal father as well.
As for me, Dad & I did go flying together for a short while back in the late 1960's at the Torrey Pines Glider Port here in San Diego
and also a few trips up to the Lake Elsinore Glider Port for some aero tow. This was done in the Sweitzer 222. A two place
trainer. We never flew together as we were both students of gliding and of course, had an instructor with us. Those were
priceless times for me. Too bad I couldn't know just how priceless at that time.
I'll be writing more as it comes to me and I have not yet located some pictures I remember as a boy of my Dad in his Tiger Moth.
Check back soon and thanks for stopping by!
And now, its time to get back to my session! See you up there,
